Pakistan Company Committed Investing in the palm Oil Sector

The Pakistani company, Madinah Group of Industries, is committed to investing and increasing trade in Indonesia’s palm oil sector.

The commitment was expressed by Chairman of Madinah Group Industries, Mian Muhammad Hanif, while welcoming the Ambassador’s visit to Islamabad, Iwan Suyudhie Amri, two days ago.
Mian explained that his company has been to Medan and several other potential locations for investment in the Indonesian palm oil sector.
The implementation of the Palm Oil Conference to be held in Karachi in January 2017 will be a moment to follow up the plan. Planned representatives from the central government, GAPKI and BPDP will attend the conference.
On that occasion Iwan also handed over the 2016 Primaduta Award to Faisalabad Oil Refinery (Pvt) Ltd. A subsidiary of the Madinah Group of Industries, in recognition of its commitment and loyalty to Indonesian products.
Madinah Group of Industries is a group of companies that have business fields in industry, education and social sectors. The company is an importer of Indonesian palm oil since 1985. The import value of the company to Indonesian palm oil continues to show positive numbers every year and about 80% of its total imports are from Indonesia. On that basis, at the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) in October 2016, the Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Trade has awarded the 2016 Primaduta Award to Faisalabad Oil Refinery (Pvt) Ltd.
The interest to invest from the company that first built the oil refinery industry in Pakistan is already unanimous. Presented by one of the directors that at the beginning of the construction of the refinery, Madinah Group brought in experts from Indonesia to provide training in palm oil processing.
During this visit to Faisalabad, in addition to conducting business meetings, Ambassador Iwan also gave a general lecture / Stadium General at the University of Faisalabad in front of lecturers and students about bilateral relations between Indonesia and Pakistan and the role of ASEAN in creating regional stability.
