TEA BUSINESS UNIT
PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV manages the tea commodity area of 4% of the entire business land area. Tea unit is coordinated by District II which consists of Sidamanik, Bah Butong and Tobasari estate. All three are located in Sidamanik and Pematang Sidamanik with a height of 800-1100 meters above sea level, with a total area of 6373.29 hectare.
TEA ESTATES
PTPN IV Tea business unit consists of Sidamanik, Bah Butong and Tobasari estate. The company is targeting to maintain the quality of tea shoots at least 60% by applying maximum effort to increase the quality of tea from the beginning of raising until the production processes
TEA PROCESSING
FACTORY
In the treatment process, PTPN IV has two units of Tea Processing Factory: Bah Butong factory with a capacity of 100 tons per day and Tobasari with 55 tons per day.
PRODUCTIVITY
Tea is one of the commodity business units that make PTPN IV is unique among other plantations in North Sumatra. Although it only has 3 units of tea estate, but PTPN IV still counted as one of the competitive black tea producers in Indonesia. It becomes a pride as well as a challenge. therefore, we always do various efforts to improve the quality of tea since from the maintenance of plants till production processes
